我觉得Turning 不好.因为不是现在的,又不是正在进行的,是过去发生的.所以D的 A novelist who turned 比较好!

我記得有一題unlike X, [non-subject的東東] Y...之類的比較結構, OG說那non-subject的東東不能和X比...

所以我相信ETS是不接受

verb-ing..., [non-subject的東東] subject.

如果non-subject的東東是non-restrictive(前後有comma),是可以的

首先，first后面跟to do,如果用定语从句就变成修饰Swedish writer了，排除BCD。

A选项中and前后连接的两个结构不是平行结构，前面动词是became,后面动词是was，D选项就没有这个问题。

不知道我说的对不对，

who修饰了novelist 变成了novelist是什么什么，而且and前后也不对称，不该要was的

from to 结构变成了from and 错误，并且这个句子因为逗号后面的and变成了无主语。

这个错误很明显

from to 结构也变成了from and 错误并且 becoming是个短暂性的动作实在不适合用ing形式在这里，应该用过去时 that知道了writer 变成了writer获得，也错

请问A选项，"Turning away.....,"后面要求立即出现其主语（Selma L)，但是A选项在Selma L的前面加上了"in 1909"，使得“Turning away....,"后面没有立即连接其主语S L，——所谓的修饰错误。请问是这样吗？谁知道给说说谢谢！

开始也错选A了~
我现在的理解是这样的：
A.Turning away fromliterary realism to write romantic stories about the peasant life and landscapeof northern Sweden, in 1909Selma Lagerlof was the novelist who became the first woman and was also the first Swedishwriter to win（其实这里in 1909的位置不好判断对错，很多人都是根据答案来推的，但我们做题往往最终要回归A选项来检查答案所以这要根据意思来：and前后都出现了the first，前后应该属于平行并列关系，逻辑关系也是，“第一个什么和第一个什么”，但是这里and后面有was就会与前面的was the novelist有平行并列的歧义，这样逻辑含义就错了——所以这里的was多余了）

还有正确答案里有and also~以前看到这两个在一起会把他们当作用词重复给排除掉（上XDF时讲得规则）~
貌似还挺管用~
这是第一个例外的例子~要特别记一下~

这里turned away from是一个短语~~~to write是一个不定式结构表目的~~~
这个人turned away from literary realism是为了写romantic stories~~~

开始也错选A了~
我现在的理解是这样的：

我也觉得那个and also很awkward 所以d给排除了但是a错误是correctiveness的错误所以必错

1.个人认为，turning away的动作发出者是Selma，在这里还是可以理解的。虽然in 1909的位置怪异，但是不能作为一个必要的错误排除A.
2.排除A.的关键是，was the novelist who became the first woman and was also the first Swedish writer to win。老Prep1笔记164.，有强调and的连接问题：句子结构，在GMAT 考试中，有一类典型的句子结构错误是子句内容在语法上与主句平行，所以在看到句中的连词and 或or 时，要注意逻辑上的平行对象与语法上的平行对象是否一致。在这里，and was also the first Swedish writer to win逻辑上是与定语从句who became the first woman并列，但是语法上与主句was the novelist并列，造成歧义。
B.
不简洁，用第一句用状语从句比作为独立的句子好，句子逻辑关系更紧密；as well as和And有区别（不是排除点）
C.E.
句子重心改变

其实本题就是A与D的选择

我也觉得主要是was also the first Swedis writer在并列上造成了歧义。大家仔细看，应该是要跟became平行的，但是这里可能被误认为和was并列，这样一来，语句不通顺了，意思也不对了

我个人感觉还是用句子的逻辑意思去判断吧，其次是平行结构。。。A 里从句的意思 “变成第一个女人” 显然不是作者要表达的意思。所以A D 之间取更好的。

这里边writer一词的后置定语是一个不定式“to win”，但是众所周知，不定式作后置定语只有2种情况，表目的或者表示尚未发生的事情。但是这里明明是已经发生了的事情——即该女子已经成为了第一位女性诺贝尔文学奖获得者，那么又为何可以用to win来修饰writer呢？难道不该用一般过去时吗？也就是that won才对啊！

是的，我也是在有疑问，以下是解答，不知道还帮不帮的到你。A项 since it's a subject-less initial modifier, it automatically refers to whatever immediately follows the comma. since Selma doesn't immediately follow the comma, this is wrong.
