the first school i applied and the one i think has the biggest possibility....seems i have lost the opportunity to get in any b-school this year....

Don't think that way. Normally the first application is not the best one. And sometimes the one you think with biggest possibility is actually with least opportunity, but the one you think hopeless may be the one you will get.

Comfort and be patient to wait for your good news!

take it easy, shuishuile mm. sometimes things do happen not towards your thinking. Just relax and wait, maybe some schools that you don't count much on will accept you.

别难过,虽然你选得其他学校得排名还高,可是其他学校选中你得可能性也相当大,你绝对不能用排名来衡量你能否被录取.我刚刚查邮件,发现被owen据了.其实这个学校排名是我申请得所有学校中最后得,也是垫低得.而且,因为这个学校学费比较贵,所以我故意选了它,因为考虑可能其他中国学生觉得排名比较后,而且学费贵,所以不会选它,那么竞争就不会那么激烈.可是没想到还是被拒绝了.所以,别着急,offer马上就来了!!!

Maryland是2nd tier 中最难进的学校, 难度其实和top20差不多. 奖学金那么丰厚, 哪里逃得过众牛人的眼睛.

我在美国的大学同学是一个英文相当好的人，因为生活在这个州，也想申请这个学校的mba，所以它还是竞争很激烈的，有时候无心插柳柳成荫，生活就是这样的，所以不要着急，也许更好的在后头。

shuishuile, don't feel discouraged. You know what? My experience told me that the school that I spend the most time on will probably turn me down. While the schools that I spend little time will accept me. Hehe...有心栽花花不发，无意插柳柳成荫,wishyou get your offer soon.

It is not your problem. The policy of the school is changing. Before last year, it prefers Asian students. But since last year, it has hoped to decrease the ratio of the Asian students to the European students. So, take it easy!!!!!

我们两个同病相怜（怎么刚得到消息？）我的感觉和你非常像，无论是g t 分数，还是背景和面试感觉都是可以的，除了essay（但是已经给了面试了）唉。。。

emory2月1号交的，刚才查状态还是incomplete, 上次问的时候说是在等我的interview evaluation，也不知道怎么样了。

总之感觉今年努力的不够，research做的太差，或许要等来年了（不过信心还是有），只是年龄不饶人啊。。。

祝我们都好运吧。

Yes, essay is the weakeast point of me. I only rushed a few days for the questions.

I am sorry to hear that! But good news will come anyway.

Do you mean that you are rejected after being interviewed?Then it is really strange. I got information from my friend in Smith that most applicants who got interview will get offer....

When were you interviewed?Any tricky questions?

I also heard that the number of Chinese applicants to Maryland is down in 2003-2004, so Maryland is supposed to be much easier to apply for...but maybe they did adjust their quota for Chinese students, who are the typical group that pull the placement rate down...

Anyway I must be more cautious now since I will also be interviewed on March 2nd. I applied on 1.14 and got invitation for interview on 2.20.Hope I can survive.

no tricky questions except the one where does maryland stand among all the schools you applied...i tole them to be honest emory and maryland are equal in my mind, maybe my answer killed me

you should be catious since Cooperqi and me all conducted the interviews
