我上个礼拜也受到了alberta marketing的offer，但是地方真得太冷了，还是决定不去了~~~

如果是好学校，位置多偏都有值得去的理由，如果是一般的大学那就要考虑一下生活的质量问题，毕竟5年也是个挺长的时间。

Alberta, in my opinion, is a better choice.
They should have enough money.
WSU is just a state university, there are so many state universities in US that are all in the same level as WSU.
And WSU is located in a small town that might not have good quality of life there.

Although Alberta might be cold, it is always warm inside, probably like Beijing.

呼唤逻辑：美国有很多州立大学，这点和Alberta是否比WSU好没有半点关系。加拿大那个地方适合养老，但似乎是不怎么适合年轻人的，整个国家普遍比较懒堕。美国毕竟是学术的中心，在这边读书会有利于获得很多相关的资源与机会。如果两个学校的学术差不多在同一档次上的话，实在看不出有任何理由选加拿大的学校。

edmonton还是能比小镇强，这点alberta还是有优势

this has nothing to do with WSU, I think.
on the other hand, Alberta might have more resources than WSU.

ALBERTA至少算加拿大很不错的综合大学了，除了地方稍微差点。

矮子里面挑大个么。WSU再怎么样，和美国学术界的联系绝对不会比Albert少(先不说多)，对以后找工作显然有帮助。呆加拿大的话，来个美国开个会或干个啥还要签证，不嫌麻烦；如果学校教职工再搞个罢工，就可以彻底放几个月假了(York去年底就在罢工，我同学在那里连final都考不了，可笑)

你这个说法不一定，加拿大的要来美国开会，签证很容易。
就算美国的会，也就是参加个年会，要自己没东西去PRESENT的话，去了也没啥用。
而且好多去的都自己出钱。

因为在这里混的都是米国的tx啊~ 俺们混加拿大的被b4一下很正常，习惯了就好了

看你以后想混哪里了，其实去alberta读书的时候可以解决身份问题，如果你以后想留外国这是个优势~

If you want to do research and stay in academia, go to Alberta for sure.
If you just want to have a US experience, maybe you should go to WSU.
WSU is nobody in academia really. Some of the state schools are good (e.g. OSU, PSU, FSU, MSU, even ISU in some areas), WSU is not so good.
