当不定式修饰其逻辑宾语时，如Can you give me some work to do? 不定式的后面是不能带宾语的。
这个句子里the army took 700,000 artisans more than 36 years to complete.中to complete做状语修饰动词took和其逻辑主语the army，所以其后面不能再带宾语.故B错.
