begun是过去分词做定语修饰an attempt(an attempt后面接的是介词短语可以跳过，而且begun逻辑上不会修饰Amendment)挺合理啊..
E里面应该用过去时跟ago搭配,另外attempt to do sth.是固定搭配，中间不能插别的东西.
