Since the winners of the nations's most prestigious award for economists have thus clearly recognized that the Acme plan offers them a financially secure future, it is probably a good plan for anyone with retirement needs similar to theirs.

the advertisment's argumentation is most vulnerable to criticism on which one of the following grounds?

the correct answer is D: It takes for granted that some winners of the Economic Merit Prize have deliberately selected the Acme retirement plan, rather than having had it chosen for them by their employers.

I do not see any relation between being a good plan and whether or not the plan is chosen by these winners themselves, so I do not understand why D is right.

conclusion: economists CHOSE plan because they think it's the best for them

implied assumption: the economists CHOSE the plans

Answer: this argument takes for granted that the economists CHOSE their plans, in other words, they might have been FORCED to be covered by this retirement plan.

( And if that's the case, then the argument is flawed.)
