PREP笔记中的疑惑点：

Employment costs rose 2.8 percent in the 12 months that ended in September, slightly less than

they did in the year that ended in the previous quarter.请问划线部分中的they 能否用those指代？为何prep笔记中说到“对比对象中出现的重复名词用that或those代替,而不能用it或they来指代.”???

it或they指前面提到的东西，是那些东西本身，而不是和那些东西类比的东西。

这是一个常见的考点的。
