(B) the program shall trace

(D) it is a program that traces（A）

(E) it will be a program tracing

Choice A is best because will is appropriate for simple future tense. In B, shall implies intent or determination on the part of the program.

解释说要用将来时，为什么，从句子哪里看出来这点提示呢？

句子结构：

opening XXXX and closing XXXX, the program 做了一件事

这个句子本身是无法推断时态的。后面“做了一件事”可以是过去，可以是完成等等。

选A并不是因为A是将来时，而是因为他有个简单明了的时态。

B中shall本身有自己独特的含义，就向OG解释的，有个intent的意图，有“应该”的意思。这样句子显得没有逻辑。

因此选A
