句子结构：A recent review… indicates that…, CEO’S earn…, as compared to…
主语是review，谓语是indicates，后跟that引导的宾语从句说明indicate的内容，宾语从句的主语是CEO’s，谓语是earn，宾语是419 times the pay of blue-collar workers，后跟比较结构as compared to…，the ratio是42 times their pay的同位语。
我的疑问1：as compared to中，as是做什么的
疑问2：prep对于C选项的解释是
(C) 正确，as compared to比较结构，419 times the pay与42 times their pay比较，the ratio…是同位语。
那么也就是认为比较的是宾语了，也就是说42 times the pay是一个整体，作宾语。那么42 times是做什么成分的，我觉得只能是做形容词了，如果是形容词的话，ratio又怎么能和一个形容词同位呢？如果可以的话，那么B唯一的错误就是that compares to 应该改成compared to了吧

choice b is badly worded: 'compares to 42 times in 1980' seems to say that, on forty-two different occasions in 1980, the ceo:blue-collar ratio reached 419:1. this is not what we are trying to say.

这个我觉得是不对的，倍数后面可以加比较级的。引用steve66对倍数比较用法的总结
搜了一些倍数表达的资料，看看是不是符合下面第3）个用法；
1）、倍数＋形容词/副词比较级＋than
The girl is ten times cleverer than her brother.
2）、倍数＋as+形容词/副词/（名词）＋as
His apartment is three times as large as that of mine. Americans eat twice as much protein as they actually need every day.
3）、倍数＋名词
The sun is many times the size of the moon.
4）、动词＋倍数
The pants have shortened two times since they were bought.
5）、动词+by+数词/百分比/倍数
最主要的问题就是第一个，as compared中as 的用法，希望大家给予启发，谢谢了
