自己被这道题困扰了很就，在A B间犹豫不决.其实觉得两个都没什么语法错误。因为主语是babies. 今天偶然找到了原文，看来语法是一方面，用语习惯也很重要啊。

补全了是 ... more babies were born to women over the age of thirty than (those were born to women) under it. 吗？

如果是，那么B选项中的born放在那里就没有什么意义了，因为既然省略就将重复的部分全省；即使要补出谓语动词，也应该是than were born under it，而不是仅仅放个born在那里。

不知道这么说对不对？

这下是看懂了，我也是疑惑了很久啊，这个省略的解释确实很棒啊，要省就全省，只留下born是没意义的，赞一个！

1楼解释很好·但我觉得要补出助动词的话也应该有相应的代词。
就像佛罗里达那道语法题，Florida is XXXX than it was in 19XX。。。代词补出应该是必须的·要省就全省，不会省一段留一段的。GMAT中不会只将可省略的相同部分留一半。还是那句话，不省全句都不省，要省全省（与than前相同部分）
