答案是A吗？我觉得不是现在完成时同过去时的并列，而是BUT引导的两个并列，remained前面省略了have,请大家指点，谢谢给出答案核对

i am still reluctant to accept the explanation,though

present perfect -- the present perfect

the form of a verb that shows what happened during a period of time up
to and including the present, formed in English with the present tense
of the verb 'have' and a past participle, as in 'he has gone

there is no sign showing that 'during the next 3 months' is a time from 3 months ago to now. QUESTION MARK!

virtually通常只用于过去式和现在完成时
