答案是E，不理解E 中的them指代，逻辑上应该指代the chambers,但又可指代前面的 tourists，造成指代混乱，但其他选项似乎都不正确....迷惑，请nn帮助

humidity within them...tourists身体里面不可能包含有humidity，所以不会指代混乱.

分析一下选项

A. due to moisture exhaled by tourists, which raised its humidity to such levels so that salt from the stone was crystallizing

correctness: which修饰tourist ; such结构误用：such levels that, 没必要再加个so 两个致命错误。不选

B.
due to moisture that tourists had exhaled, thereby raising its humidity
to such levels that salt from the stone would crystallize

correctness:"注意逗号，thereby raising"表示动作的结果。读起来好像是说因为cleaning和repair导致crystall和fungus

不选

effectiveness: was crystalling改变成would似乎不好。

C.
because tourists were exhaling moisture, which had raised the humidity
within them to levels such that salt from the stone would crystallize

correctness: such that误用。Correct idiom e.g.: He was such a clever boy that everyone loves him or He was such that everyone loves him不选

effectiveness:was crystalling改变成would似乎不好。

D.
because of moisture that was exhaled by tourists raising the humidity
within them to levels so high as to make the salt from the stone
crystallize

stone crystallize和fugus is growing都是moisture使得humidity变高的结果。最好可以用平行结构。

correctness: 如果一定要用这种结构，遵照parrellism我认为应该改成so high as to make salt from the stone crystallize and fungus grow on the walls

另外fungus was growing on the walls这部分独立主谓结构，在C的表达中缺少连词。不选

我也来补一个:
A. 用which引导非限定性定从不能表达出该有的意思; such…so that固定习语使用错误. its无所指代.
B. thereby raising修饰前面整句，逻辑错误.
C. 用which引导非限定性定从不能表达出该有的意思; such that…短语使用错误; 过去进行的事情不能用过去将来时would.
D. because of后面结构过于复杂. so … as to…使用错误，使得make的行为者成为tourists逻辑错误. that was exhaled没有必要补出that was，累赘.
E. correct. humidity within them...tourists身体里面不可能包含有humidity，所以them不会指代混乱.

恩，我觉的有必要做一些代词歧义的解释。

代词若遵照逻辑原则没有指向不明的的话，不能说明有歧义。真正有歧义的句子。

Tom and Jack went to the shop and then he bought a model car.

代词歧义原则，在gmat里不能作为优先考虑原则。

代词若遵照逻辑原则没有指向不明的的话，不能说明有歧义。真正有歧义的句子。

其实我想说，代词指代早已不是出题的判别点，甚至是在比较靠后的优先。所以不能用这一个来判别。

句子结构中的两个and我有个疑问 the chambers ...were closed and repair 这个and是连接了哪两个平行呢？第二个and是连接了stone was crystallizing和fungus was growing。

A. due to结构复杂，which修饰tourists，effectiveness。its指代moisture。造成了逻辑意思错误，应该是the chambers增加了humidity，而不是moisture。Such…so that用法错误。
B. due to结构复杂，thereby raising修饰全面整句，意思错误，raise的动作发生在repair…之后。Its错误同A。the stone would crystallize和fungus was growing on the walls前后不平行。
C. which修饰moisture，effectiveness。Such that用法错误。平行错误同B。
D. because of后面通常跟简单的名词，句子结构太复杂. so … as to…用法错误，使得make的行为者成为tourists逻辑错误. that was exhaled没有必要补出that was，effectiveness。And前后平行错误同B。
E. correct。humidity within them...里tourists身体里面不可能包含有humidity，所以them不会指代混乱，而指代了the chambers。
对于A里面的its我认为是有指代的，回来讨论一下。

这是用逻辑判断的吧，可是og12很多题都不是这样的
75.

OG解释A，“And see” should be “to see”
“their” is ambiguous;
“are” should be have been.

这个比较特殊的，因为their horns处于从句主语位置，所以their通常要与主句的主语指代一致，也就是指代tourists，所以有ambiguous。
"主从句的主语指代一致原则"在别的题目也可以经常看到，这个原则凌驾于逻辑含义之上。

嗯，due to过于复杂不是绝对性错误，只是有效性错误。due to后面一般跟比较简单的名词。

E的because 引导原因状语从句，这件事情导致，不是某个名词
