什么时候 in their struggle for social legitimacy than did 这个did 可以省略啊我记得好像有题目可以不用的

还有这道题目中opposition 为什么不搭配 against

我选的是A啊

did能否省略在于是否省略之后是否会产生歧义。本句中比较对象为主语trade unions ，即使省略did也不会产生歧义，故可以省略。不选A是因为against使用错误，此处介词是和后面的struggle搭配而不是和前面的opposition搭配。in the struggle of 为固定用法
