主语是复数，排除A和C, 再往下不知道怎么做了，望指教。

1.in his own time是过去明确的时间点，所以用一般过去时；
2.本句的比较对象是they are disturbing in his own time和they are compelling for us,是两个方式之间的比较，disturbing和compelling本身无法形成比较，谓语动词不一致，不能省略，所以要将句子补充完全！

我有一个问题啊~~为什么前面是to his own time而后面又是for ours？？？
