have been predicting现在完成进行时好吗?难道是要表达 for weeks一直都在predict?

这是个争议题，有的书上是A，有的书上是C。我觉的如果C错的话，就只能说明perdict后面不用虚拟语气（新东方选C，我还特地咨询过）。

C里面有一个硬伤.predict不可能发生在continue前面，不能用一般过去时.

A里面虽然because of the economy's continued strength不好但是至少没有致命错误，而且后面的时态很对。

for weeks 是很好的提示，have been predicting现在完成进行时能表示这种状态一直在持续。

C使用predicted过去式，没有线索，并且和前文不一致。

做错了。思路是对的，但是看选项没有看清楚

A. because of the economy's continued strength, analysts have been predicting for weeks that the target will明确一点，have been predicting是正确的时态，一开头就有提示:since February.即:Since February, the Fed连续5次加息，那么在这持续加息的日子中分析家也就持续predicting for weeks怎样怎样

B. with the economy's strength continuing, analysts predicted for weeks that the target主要错在predicted上
改变了时态 with抹杀了原题有的因果关系

C. because the economy continues strong, analysts predicted for weeks that the target would主要错在predicted上
改变了时态

D. due to the economy's continued strength, analysts have been predicting for weeks that the target这里要看清楚少了will

E. due to the fact of the economy's continued strength, analysts predicted for weeks that the target will这里due to the fact of典型错误 wordy； predicted也是错误

总结:忠实原句时态没有明确时态标志最好不要改时态况且此题中已经有了since February

其次体会原句意义从2月以来Fed就在持续加息 and 因为XX 分析家也是for weeks持续预见the target will be raised again in November

同意LS的观点。这个题目乍看C的确漂亮A的确不像对的。但是忠于逻辑没有问题的原文真的很重要！

predict的时态是强加上去的。是C的致命错误

严重同意，原来也一直有个潜在的想法，觉得一个句子里面不可能两个分句同时用完成时态。现在已经看过两道题，给自己提醒这是个错误的自以为是。。

我觉得due to也有错误，看过NN的讨论说due to做表语，it is due to才对，这里due to算错么

C里面 continues 是一般现在时呀...如果have been predicting成立的话,那continues 就是对的了

可以这样理解吗?

就因为C里面的continues是一般现在时，而后面的predict是过去时，所以才导致了时态上的错误。不能先预测然后经济一直增长，看原文的意思明显是想表达因为经济的持续增长，所以专家才预测target会再升高。

在A和C 之间徘徊，但看到analysts have been predicting for weeks that the target will觉得有点奇怪就想当然的排除了，还是要慎重啊。
Due to我觉得也用的不对，due to是等同于caused by的，在这里用caused by代替的话有点奇怪。

解释的漂亮，同时对于B中的with短语的主语应该是主句主语，大家怎么看

"due to" means "caused by".
if you can't replace "due to" with "caused by", then it's wrong.

for instance:

i was late due to the construction --> incorrect (because you can't say "i was late caused by the construction")

i was late because of the construction --> correct.

in general, "due to" only applies to nouns, since it means "caused by".

for instance,
the traffic jam was due to an obstruction in the left lane
or
the traffic jam due to the obstruction in the left lane caused 30-minute delays
