这道题我当时也错了，只能谈下个人理解
用平行剔除了A和B
C因为because of后面要加名词或名词性短语，结果逼着写出了acquiring，这个应该算动名词，就很罗嗦，总之C也不对
我最初选了D，后来总结D的好处是平行得比较完美，但有2个主要问题。
一是用了被动语态（本可以用主动语态，因为主语和宾语都很清楚），二是用了虚拟语气而且还用错了情态动词（本可用would的结果用了should，should本身带有感情色彩）
E除了平行不是很完美外没有语病，而且简洁，可能用partly表明平行足够了
