Anybody willing to recomend some books about corp finance here?

No matter funny novels or classic textbooks.

And further question, is corp finance skills more useful in pe/vc than IB?

well, think it depends.

for vc people they more pay attention on people's overall skills and ability to identify a successful business model at really early stage.

for pe people they are more sentitive to the number and tend to look for people has very strong due diligence skills as well as ibanking background since those ibankers help at the very late stage on of the IPO process.

both need people to be well rounded with very strong business sense and sophistication.
