标题: 【请教】向学校催奖学金，学校问我是不有别的offer

因为一所学校催我决定，我不得不催另一所比较想去的学校提前给我奖学金的决定。学校问我是否是因为其他学校给了offer，想知道别的学校的名字和奖学金数目。请问可以如实相告么？我另外有两个学校的ad，其中一所比我催奖学金的这所略好，给了15000，另一所比较一般，给了full tuition waiver。如实相告，学校会考虑match另外两家学校的奖学金么？会有什么负面影响么？

首先恭喜！你可以不告诉这所学校其他学校的名字，但是可以告诉他们“有几个学校给了offer”，同时可以告诉他们别的学校给了多少多少刀（比你所期待的奖学金的数量略高一点）有的甚至减半或全免（LZ就自由发挥好了）～然后看对方的反应。但是建议语气要注意，不过于谦虚亦不炫耀夸大。

另外，是否可以说一下是哪几所学校？以及LZ的背景？

可以直说，兴许人家会给你更好的条件而留你呢。

Let's say:

If A school offers you admission + money (scholarship, fellowship or assistantship)
B school offers only admission

should you tell B school about A school?

Short answer: it never hurts to tell B school what A school offers

Likely results:
Obviously, you want to go to B school more than A school, otherwise, no incentive to contact B school
If A and B on the same tier, then B may match A's offer
If B is significant better than A,
then B can offer you equal or small amount of money
B still does not give you any money (you are attractive, but not attractive enough to B)

Based on B's response, if A and B are same tier, the chance is high that B might offer something.

As a matter of fact, I am still working on my Wharton Essay for R2 now, hoping to get into Wharton this year. :-)
