请帮我讲解一下此题选E的原因。除了同位语用法,我找不到其他考察语法点,,吾吾,,而B和D的同位语结构在我看来也不错啊。实在很菜,希望nn指点!

不用being

是不是要用形容词/形容词短语作伴随的时候都不需要being?

B把原意改了 - 再沒任何因果
C沒主句
D的being不能省, 因為being very reluctant是was的主語.

既然D的being不能省,为什么选E呢?
B从改变句子因果关系一层的解释通了!谢谢!

源自一个网站urch的解释,仅供参考

IMO E is the answer... below is the explanation:
Charles Lindbergh, for his attempt at a solo transatlantic flight, was very reluctant to have any extra weight on his plane, he therefore refused to carry even a pound of mail, despite being offered $1,000 to do so.
(A) Charles Lindbergh, for his attempt at a solo transatlantic flight, was very reluctant to have any extra weight on his plane, he therefore => All of them modify Charls.. Noun has to be close to it's modifiers... Incorrect
(B) When Charles Lindbergh was attempting his solo transatlantic flight, being very reluctant to have any extra weight on his plane, he => Incorrect
(C) Since he was very reluctant to carry any extra weight on his plane when he was attempting his solo transatlantic flight, so Charles Lindbergh => Wordy
(D) Being very reluctant to carry any extra weight on his plane when he attempted his solo transatlantic flight was the reason that Charles Lindbergh => he and his do not refer to Charls
(E) Very reluctant to have any extra weight on his plane when he attempted his solo transatlantic flight, Charles Lindbergh => Correct.. Correctly modifies Charls Lindberg in the underlined sentence as well as clause following it
