请问各位关于就读美国的理工Ph.D转MBA的问题。
我是物理Ph.D. 没有工作经验，有些一点创业经验。
正准备考gmat .
就各位看来，难度多大?

其实看你怎么写essay了

我个人认为读博士也是一中工作经验，你和导师、同学如何相处，运作项目，和公司里面操作还是有一些共同之处的

虽然不是typical的商业经验，人生经验也是很好的essay题材。

另外你还要多思考一下为什么要读mba，你对自己的career如何规划

麦肯锡有一位做医药方面咨询项目的高层，过去是协和大学的博士，毕业后直接去读mba的，还是位兼职作家，笔名叫做冯唐，你可以搜索一下看看，经历非常有意思

The most important question here is, why do you want to do an MBA after
choosing to do a PhD in Physics? If you can answer that convincingly,
then you should apply. Part of the self-evaluation process should have
you thinking about who can write your recommendation letters to comment
well on you in a business, corporate setting. If you don't have these,
things may be more difficult. Nonetheless take heart. At Wharton
there's an 18 year old who quit doing his PhD and is currently doing
his MBA. He too had
absolutely no 'outside-of-school' work experience, so you don't have to worry unduly about that!

As for the
McKinsey guy that another poster referred to, in fact in the past it
was the norm for students to go straight to business school without
work experience. This is no longer the case.

to jelt2359: Thanks indeed for your reply.I have tried startup as a student but find no good way to success. I want to widen my knowledge in economics and business as well social networks. Hopefully I can find future partener there.
