标题: 关于to/for在句首

46. To Josephine Baker, Paris was her home long
before it was fashionable to be an expatriate, and she remained in France during the Second World War as a performer and an intelligence agent for the Resistance.

(A)      To Josephine Baker, Paris was her home long before it was fashionable to be an expatriate

(B)      For Josephine Baker, long before it was fashionable to be an expatriate, Paris was her home

(C)     Josephine Baker made Paris her home long before to be an expatriate was fashionable

(D)     Long before it was fashionable to be an expatriate, Josephine Baker made Paris her home

(E)      Long before it was fashionable being an expatriate, Paris was home to Josephine Baker

A.  To Josephine Baker ... her is redundant and awkward;对这种to在句首的总是没弄明白,怎么错了呢

B       For Josephine Baker ... her is redundant and awkward;

maybe:
A. Paris was Josephine Baker's home long before it was fashionable to be an expatriate, ...
B. Long before it was fashionable to be an expatriate, Paris was Josephine Baker's home, ...
Josephine Baker made Paris her home, 上面的有點像說author's or other people's的看法 - Paris was Josephine Baker's home
To/For Josephine Baker, Paris was her home...vs. Josephine Baker made Paris her home
the former expresses the idea in a roundabout way; the latter is more straight forward.

maybe?

A. Her is redundant because the sentence can be rewritten as "Paris was home to Josephine Baker long before..."

B. Her is again redundant because it can be rewritten as "long before it was fashionable to be an expatriate, Paris was home for Josephine Baker"
