想问下是什么的比较？省略什么了吗？

因为是more babies在前所以正确的语序应该是more babies were born to women over the age of thirty than babies were born to women under the age of thirty.

同意楼上的，这是个从句里的比较结构，把从句单独拿出来看会比较清楚
