标题: 一道不明白的指代问题

Once positioned in space, the Hubble Space Telescope will capture light from sources twenty times fainter compared to those that can be detected by round based instruments.

B. compared to those they can detected

C. than that can be detected

D. than those that can be detected

E than those detecting

答案给的是D,说those指代的是sources，但是我怎么理解逻辑意思都应该是Hubble Space Telescope抓住的光线和round based instruments抓住光线的比较，很困惑

请高手指教

应该是光源和光源的比较

原因如下：

（1）如果是光线的比较，选C的话，那么第一个光线来自 sources ，那第二个光线来自那里呢，难道两个光线都来自sources ？然后一个光线比另一个暗20倍？有点不通

（2）原文的意思twenty times fainter 比较的应该是一个光源比另一个光源暗20倍

open to discuss...

如楼上所说，我觉得， twenty times fainter 是修饰sources的。

因此比较的对象应该是sources。
