标题: 做92年老og遇到的两题,请指教!!
1. For many people, household labor remains demanding even if able to afford household appliances their grandparents would find a miracle.
(A) even if able to afford household appliances their grandparents would find a miracle
(B) despite being able to afford household appliances their grandparents would find a miracle
(C) even if they can afford household appliances their grandparents would have found miraculous
(D) although they could afford household appliances their grandparents would find miraculous
(E) even if they are able to afford household appliances which would have been a miracle to their grandparents
答案是C.我选的D,想来想去还是有两个不明白之处:
1,og 说in D,although is less precise than even if in stating the relationship between the ideas that household labor is demanding and that people can afford household appliances. 我手头没有大部头字典,只有一本小朗文,里面给出的例子although, though, even if 根本没什么区别.ft了,哪位有总结过这几个词的区别吗,请指点一下!!
2,另一个是关于时态的.og 说, in A,B,D ,the verb used with grandparents must show past action fro the sentence to make sense. would find is therefore incorrect.我这就不懂了.would find 不就是用于表过去的时态吗.干吗非要用 would have found ?没有明显的时间标志表明必须用完成时阿

og的解释很费解. In B the verbs shatter and fall do not agree in number with the singular subject,20 percent. Choice A contains an error of agreement ,the leaf and small-stem material…..is 感觉狠奇怪阿.两点想不通. 1照og的解释,就是说the leaf and small-stem material 做复数看了.那么20 percent of +复数名词为什么就当单数名词来看呢,不可能吧,20 percent of these 100 students 后面的动词总该用复数的吧.但是你看D就是把20 percent of the leaf and small-stem material当单数看的.

2看以前的大牛的总结说,A OF B, which 中这个which 有时修饰A,有时修饰B. 这个”有时”有没有什么一定的条件呢?像此题中A选项.og的解释明显就是说,A of B, which , which 就修饰最近的名词B. 那怎么判断呢?

第二题要看意思：
the subjuest of shatter and fall is '20 percent' - 因为真正只有20 percent 才shatter and fall,

the most nutritious 则是指的leaf and small-stem ，而不是 20%, 因为所有leaf and small-stem material 都是有营养的

在我的印象中althought表示让步成份多一些，而even IF则更侧重与两种不同情况的对比！请指证！

no, you didn't get my question.
i mean, leaf and small-stem material is treated as plural, why 20% of leaf and small-stem materia is singular
