如果以前的研究发现a与b有关，另一个研究b与c有关，但是没有直接研究a与c的关系，而且两个研究的samples不一样。这样研究a与c的关系有意义吗？

what do you mean by "youguan", just nonzero correlation or causality?

I am not 100% percent sure, but it seems like a meta-analysis topic. You might want to look at some introductory materials about this method. In general, meta-analysis helps you to combine results from different studies to build a causual network (to my understanding).
