As the economic role of multinational, global corporations expands, the international economic environment will be shaped increasingly not by governments or interactions, but by the interaction between governments and global corporations, especially in the Unitied-States, Europe,and Japan.

自由想问一下画线部分的正确中文含义，自由理解as在这里是“作为”的含义。谢谢

kid不大赞同“作为”的解释，认为as在这里是 when，while的意思，在merriam－webster 里是as（conjunction）的第五个解释。
句子主语environment不能是“作为”一个句子（as在这里引导的是一句话）
所以kid翻译成：随着（跨国，全球化的）公司的经济地位扩张，。。。

请指教

as 这里不是作为的意思。同意kid MM 的看法。
