B中的意思是说：Repousse 是一种雕塑的方法，这种雕塑就是workers将铜片放木制模型上面，逻辑意思应该没什么问题吧？
E错在laying的逻辑主语应该是workers而不是repousse，应该是人lay而不是一种method lay.

我认为has没有什么问题discovering that ..has
C将discovering放在中间容易引起歧义，不知道这个到底做补语补充说明主语的还是作为壮语来修饰位于动词的，所以答案应该是B

b 中discovering 的逻辑主语是 Lincoin, 而且现在分词在句首做状语，修饰动词 knew,
总不能说，过去discovering 了现在 has的事情吧。
c 中discovering 应该做状语修饰 knew，逻辑主语依然为 Lincoln, 这种用法应该没有问题。

窃以为， method of sculpture in which..., which 指代method, 这种情况在其他定语从句中很常见, For instance:

Out of... grows a market for bygone styles of furniture and fixtures that is bringing back...
That 指代 a market

只是不解，为什么在B中， method前为什么不加 "a", or "the"。

另: D 为什么不对，是改变了逻辑意思和强调中心吗，如果是这样，B 也改变了原句的强调中心.

After Reviewing it again, D的错误主要是逻辑含义，因为工人使用一系列奇特的锤子，应该作为把金属敲成形状的方式状语(Using sth.)，D把这种主从关系改成了并列关系，所以不合理.

另外引进目的状语in order to do, 强调目的也不符合原句强调中心.

But still, 只是不解，为什么在B中， method前为什么不加 "a", or "the"。

各位，关于970，管中之见，请指正。

1. C为什么错？
in young manhood，因为在同位语从句中，修饰Pedder has learned, 句意变为：小贩在成年时学到。其实，应该是林肯在成年是发现... 所以C错.

2. 从句使用现在完成时表示一种"事实秘密"可以与主句时态不一致, 而且， CDE均错，只能从AB中选择.

3. 一般情况下， -ing分词短语在句首。
