选E没有问题。但B的解释：The pronoun it does not have a clear reference

             it为何不可以指代“a sketchy picture” ？

后句中除了a sketchy picture 是单数名词外，an all-female cult 也是单数名词啊，那你说的it应该指谁呢，这样就会造成代词的指代不明哈~
