The total market value of real estate in Altonville has steadily declined over the past four years. This decline has meant that the overall figure on which the city’s property tax is based—the assessed value of that real estate—has also declined. The percentage of assessed value that was paid as property taxes to the city, however, did not change from year to year during this period.

我选的是D 其实也没有好的理由可是正确答案是C 实在是想不通。。。。

看到结论的percentage我就联想到ETS的常见trick：“number vs. percentage”

题目说房地产市值降低－>property tax降低，但是property tax的百分数却不变

因为tax% = tax amount / revenue amount from property tax 如果这个％不变，而分子降低的话，说明分母降低

C说明了分母降低，所以是support了结论

可是看了你的答案觉得B才是正确答案了。。。。

C的时间 last year than it was four years ago. 这点我实在想不通啊。。。

TAX=MARKET VALUE * TAX RATIO

税率在过去四年之间没有变化，而市值在四年之间却是逐步下降的（the total market value of real estate in Altonville has steadily declined over the past four years）

就说明了TAX在过去四年之间也是逐步下降的，所以可以推出去年获得的税比四年前少，就是C选项所说的问题

The amount of revenue that Altonville collected from property taxes was lower last year than it was four years ago.

注意这里说的绝对数量，而不是相对数量（percentage）

AB都是的说
The percentage of Altonville’s yearly revenue that comes from money collected in property taxes 。。。表示的是通过税得到的收入占整体收入的比例问题，但是题目中没有给出收入的其他来源，所以无法得出此结论。

D中说 on other sources of revenue 。。。题中没有给出任何关于其他收入来源的信息，仍是错误的。

E是一个没有任何根据的预测，很容易排除。

所以正确答案是C。

补充一下，我这道题开始错选了D，发现就是对题目考察点不理解

如果是解释题的话，那应该选D

但是问的是SUPPORTS,这种从文中信息归纳，就应该选C……

不知道有没有筒子跟我犯一样的错误涅！
