这里答案是B，但跟D有什么区别？

这里引导的不是时间状语从句

这里的AS是作为的意思，是介词。as large, integrated companies，large和intergrated都是用来修饰companies的。个人看法，不知是否正确。。

而当中那个只是插入了个例子

while放句中表对比转折或者当...时。

这里应该是as引出原因状语从句。
