A. Unlike mainstream American businesses, more than half of which fail

B. Unlike mainstream American businesses, in which the failure rate is more than half

C.Unlike mainsteam American businesses, where more than half of them fail

D. While the rate of mainstream American businesses failing is more than half

E. While more than half of mainstream American businesses fail

The answer is "E" , i chose "D" because according to parellelism, "rate" should be compared with "rate". can someone help me out with that???thanxxxx

我觉得D中的形式看似平行其实不然 the rate of mainstream American businesses failing和the failure rate for businesses in the Amish community有明显差异， rate is more than half 也不对吧。很陷阱的选项

这题对比的是失败这件事情
D 中rate 并没有特指失败率，所以没法跟后面的the failure rate 连起来，排除

其实这题也是很好的逆向思维的考察，不能看到unlike就天然觉得正确选项必须有它
