A. when it was about 35 percent.是修饰a decade ago的。

错误点1：Hispanics under the age of eighteen account for more than 43 percent 这个分句不够完整。more than 43 percent of what? Percent 后面要跟 of 的，这个分句里面没有 of。

错误点2：比较结构中a decade ago是与Hispanics under the age of eighteen进行比较

错误点3：35 percent变成了从句的从句成分，根据逻辑意思重点应该是more than 43 percent与35 percent的对比。

错误点4：it无所指代

错误点5：today应该放在in California前面（时间副词放在外面一点）

B. 比较点正确today与a decade ago的对比

错误点1：35 percent变成了从句的从句成分，根据逻辑意思重点应该是more than 43 percent与35 percent的对比。

错误点2：it无所指代

错误点3：逻辑上来看不应该是比较年代，而是应该比较某个年代的百分比。

C. 正确。more than 43 percent与about 35 percent的比较。

错误点1： Compared to夹心修饰。既可以与today比较也可以与Californians比较。

错误点2：whereas it was about 35 percent.莫名其妙多出一个数据，断裂了它与a decade ago的关系。

错误点3：it指代不明

错误点1：it指代不明

错误点2：unlike通常用于句首，放在中间引起修饰歧义。

错误点3：unlike的比较对象错误

选E，为什么A不对呢？不用half of sth了呢？
