为什么选b不是a,

I think A is the best.

B 主要是one day这里变成修饰名词companies错误

我觉得选项A中有一个致命的时态错误，as companies that compete one day maybe partners the next. 因为one day 在这题应该是曾经的意思，那么compete就应该用过去时competed. 欢迎指正

这里应该没有时态的错误 one day 也不是曾经的意思

它只是说某一天在竞争的公司可能下一天就变成了partner

compete one day 是一个假设并不是在过去的one day真的发生了的后面maybe 是这个假设的推断整个句子应该是一般现在时
