In Kantovia, physicians’ income comes from insurance companies, which require

physicians to document their decisions in treating patients and to justify deviations

from the companies’ treatment guidelines. Ten years ago physicians were allowed

more discretion. Most physicians believe that the companies’ requirements now

prevent them from spending enough time with patients. Yet the average amount of

time a patient spends with a physician during an office visit has actually increased

somewhat over the last ten years.

我认为这题题干很冗余，它说其实陪客户花的时间多了，B选项解释花时间多的原因，这都看的出来

但是保险公司为什么要节约时间？不知道

十年前外科医生很谨慎，这句话也不知道是干吗的。

我认为这道解释题应该解释认识与实际差别的原因，但是B选项只解释了为什么是这样，答案不好，题目混乱，个人阅读水平没问题

一点个人的想法选B 保险公司严格管理的是to justify deviations from the companies’ treatment guidelines，所以physician在treatment上被严格要求了，但diagnosis却没有，physicians可以选择diagnosis，这样就很好的解释题目的discrepancy。

D 相信physician无法解释，因为physician本身是受保险所限制，还是会导致时间的减少的

A无法解释C group practice ,早晚换班还是无法解释保险规定使得时间减少，实际时间却增加了 E 人多，对average time无影响

这题我也错了，现在想想是不是可以这样理解：因为现在医生在开处方前有更多的诊疗手段去选择，所以检查多了，当然时间也长了。

其实现在我们自己看病，不就是要做很多检查，然后要等蛮长时间的吗

其实可以这么理解，理疗师治病分两个阶段，第一阶段是看病，第二阶段是治病（也就是理疗-按摩之类）。因为保险公司对治病阶段有了规定所以治病阶段时间明显减少了。但是什么能够解释病人看理疗师的平均访问时间在过去十年中反而增长了呢？答案是B，因为医生认为你保险公司规定治病的方法，可你没规定我看病的方法。我看病时间拖长点不是一样赚钱么。所以B，看病的手段多了，看病时间能拖得长了，规避了对于治病的限定条款，理疗医生一样赚钱。

有点明白了
就是说医生决定限制了他看病的时间，但实际上时间反而长了~

不知道这样解释对不对
其实病人和医生所接触在时间上应该是相等的，但是可能题目想告诉我们的是这样的一个等式
patients with physicians = physicians with patients + physicians with options in diagnosis and treatment
用OPTIONS的时间来填补病人所述的时间变长的事实与医生所述的时间变短的事实之间的差异

This is a purely RC question. With an increase of options, the physician has to spend more time THINKING OVER all the available options to the patient. To put it another way, in GMAT test if you have 10 answer choices instead of 5, shouldn't you spend more time thinking before making the choice for the correct answer?

C是无关的。C说的是团体治病。后面还有一句说公担责任。明显和时间无关了

题目是关于："医生看病时间够不够" 和"病人平均看病长短"的问题。

其实B就是告诉你：现在医生在跟病人谈关于诊断和治疗病情上要花更多的时间。

其他的都是无关选项

这道题挺有意思，读题干的时候觉得前两句话和后两句话在表面上貌似没什么太大关联，前面先说医生诊断的自由度的问题，后面再说医生与病人看病时所花费的时间不够的问题。

读完所有的选项先排除了a, c, d，在b和e之间选择就要看题干给的信息了。医生抱怨看病人的时间不够，而在过去10年中看每个病人的平均时间是在增加，最能够解释的就是b了，正是因为10年前保险公司给了医生更大的自由诊断的空间，导致医生在最终下结论的时候要考虑更多的可能性，自然时间占得长点儿。而10年前保险公司没有给医生更多的决定力前，保险公司是对医生的诊断有guideline的，医生不能随便自主判断，当然在一个病人的身上不必花费那么多的时间。

所以答案是b。（仅供参考，思路不对就忽略）

哇。。。哪有这么多时间分析神马公式啊。。。。哥，，考场上当机立断，哪有这么多时间去分析什么等式不等式的啊。。。。

反复读题过后，我的理解是这样的：文章和医生自己对于“时间”的概念不太一样，文章认为只要医生跟病人呆一起那就算所谓的时间；但医生则是认为自己主动为病人看病的时间才算“时间”——而不是把时间花在保险公司所推出的新政策（为开处方的合理性做各种证明和遵循公司的指导方针）。所以说对于医生而言自己主动灵活时间减少，所以觉得跟病人呆一起的时间减少；而文章觉得医生花了更多时间在遵守公司新规定上，所以认为病人跟医生呆的时间还稍有增加。
