标题: Essay叫写家庭背景到底怎么写好

学校Essay叫写家庭背景，可能是想据此看你是什么样的人，是应该在里面突出自己角色吗？如果家庭背景很好，强调家人的成就对自己有任何帮助吗？？

比如说母亲是大学教授，父亲海外创业，爷爷曾是省领导（和某前国家领导是好友），最好把这点抬出来吗？听说商学院很snobbish的，可能会因此考虑，我想也有可能，不然怎么会有这么多大企业家、高干的子女都能到美国好学校接受教育呢，不相信他们子女就都很强。但又怕这样写学校反而觉得家庭背景这么好，我这么平凡。。。

会不会写好了学校就不给奖学金？但其实家里并没钱。

Don't sound too much like Elle Woods and have your Chinese Characteristics.

I have great sympathy to your parents situation...if they can not afford your school tuition as they originally belong to the Club "1000" of the Revolutionary Old Guards.

If you have said is true, that is not your fault because individual's fortune have ups and downs. Also, your grand father was not an corrupted official, this is very respectable and rare in PRC ethnics.

I am very certain if you call on your uncles and family friends, they will be very willing to help, unless your Grand Father or Father did something very nasty to them.

Otherwise, going in some good schools in China will not lose your status.

This kind of essay may ask you to reveal "life-changing" experiences or to discuss something that is extremely important to you from your family. And you'd better respond how you've learned and what you've valued from the experiences. A story telling style may fit for this one.

I don't think the essay is connnected to the scholarships. Normally every admitted applicant is considered automatically for a financial aid. Correct me if I am wrong.
