People in econ can also have good math background, as long as you earn good grade in math courses during your undergraduate study.

HK and Singapore phd program prefer mainland students from top universities. Considering the ranking your university, you can have a try.

It is not that helpful to get a master degree of finance if the degree is not research oriented. But it would be a good transition if the degree is indeed research oriented.

My classmates with a finance background and got Yale finance Ph.D directly from China.

just kind of normal at first glance but some intangible information cannot be value universly. That is what I can tell.

Sometimes luck plays a crucial role in application. Just get easy.

有时候发现10-20名这个段的学校出牌比较诡异，虽然样本不多，但也是血的教训啊。
