(B) who might once have died in childhood
(C) that as children might once have died
(D) who in childhood might have at one time died
(E) who, when they were children, might at one time have died
怎么看都觉得that指 many people是合理的呀,有人能帮我解释解释og的说法是什么意思吗,为什么用who就使主句和从句更一致呢??难道语法题中指人都不能用that吗?doubt中

OG解释：B, the best choice, uses the preferred relative pronoun, who, to refer to many people.

在GMAT中，指代人总用who，而不用that。

In fact,that can be the pronoun of a human in subordinate clause.But,we only remember to use who and whom in GMAT.

语法书上讲who 指代人，做主格，而that指代人或物，
此句中如果用that 那么 that 从句中就要补上主语. 不知道对吗？？？

这里die of拆开纯粹是为了和后面的now live well into old age平行, 所以OG的解释花了这么大的篇幅来讲这主谓状的平行, 炫耀其语言运用的纯熟和精妙.
