这个感觉是主语赘述的毛病，就像是Nannie Helen Burroughs.......and she was一个道理

If you go through the OG, you will start to recognize that this kind of sentence should be either
Nannie Helen Burroughs was one of the best-known… , modifier.
or
Modifier, Nannie Helen Burroughs was one of the best-known…

a) wordy
b) wordy
c) correct
technically, this choice is not perfect either: in some dictionaries you’ll find that as an educator should be as educator (like as lawyer, as doctor). I don’t agree with this answer-choice completely, but who cares b/c this test has its own rules
d) not one of the two correct forms
e) wordy + being is bad

You asked why can't "as an educator..." modify "one of the....?" I guess the best answer is they said so.
