标题: 求prep sc-2-49中more than 的理解

Since 1990 the global economy has grown more than it did during the 10,000 years from the beginning of agriculture to 1950

正确选项的句子，当然其他的错的都很离谱所以这个就矬子里拔将军了，但是有点很不明白，破解笔记里也没提，就是这里more than 的意思。破解笔记里说这个more than 除了当作比...东西数量多的时候可以单独使用,剩下的情况必须在more和than中间加入形容词，即：more+adj+than

但是如果题目中的more than表示的是数量多,似乎意思上又点奇怪了。

没想明白，请高人指点。谢谢
