sometimes前面的逗号是做什么的呢？

做题目的时候看了半天，不甚明了。

感觉有了逗号，这个sometimes引导的短语，语法现象很难解释？

破折号把两个并列的sometimes隔开了，由于俩破折号相当于括号，所以把它省去，直接成为：sometimes from the mainlands and sometimes from Scotlands.这样就好理解了。前面的逗号没什么特别的意义啊，只是说明后面这个只是个修饰成分的短语不是个句子而已。不知道解释清楚了没有~
