A.increased by more than twice
B.increased more than two times
C.more than doubled
D.was more than doubled
E.had more than doubled

我总觉得在doubled前面加上more than不习惯，我很少见到这种用法，谁能否帮我分析一下？感激不尽！

more 是副词做状语，than 是连词

It is not "more than", it should read as "increased more, than ..."
I think it will be easier to understand.
