答案是A。答案A 里devastating是什么词性？如果理解are devastating为进行时，后面似乎不应该用介词for,因为devastate本身是及物动词；如果理解为动名词，似乎又不能用potentially修饰，因为它是副词，不能修饰名词。

devastating 可否理解为：形容词“具有破坏性的”。
