A是个weaken答案。可是,打电话时间长短这个比较点原文不存在呀?谢谢!

A是weaken吗? 如果文章里没有给出逻辑关系,就要看common sense是不是可以解释. 我感觉A起到的weaken作用很小, 因为customer service电话时间长短和difficult to use的关系不是很直接. E肯定是weaken, C肯定不是weaken. 所以要选most weaken, 就选E喽.

A是有关的,出现了原文的对象calls,出现了原文的性质点---两个公司业务之间的比较。
round-the-clock就是时间。

同意1stzhang的意见, 如果hotline总有人打电话进来, 就有影响了.
E的weaken在于指出其它原因解释现象, 作用等同于A. A指出电话量少是因为每一个电话的时间长. E指出电话量少是因为大家不知道这个电话.

谢谢各位!仔细研究,有如下体会,不知是否恰当。
call的时间长短和次数,都是call的性质。即:call有long and times(有没有)。所以,比较点无论是long还是times,都是原文提到的。不过如此一来,round-the-clock就显多余,因为无论round-the-clock是否存在,都有如上结论。

A是weaken..但是说回来, 如果Express每个电话的时间是Writewell的两倍,但是W的电话数量是E的四倍,还是说明W的电话要多于E...weaken的作用还是要弱于E

厉害厉害。。我原来做题目从来没想那么多,胡里糊涂的.
可是mindfree,为什么C不是削弱呢? 原文说, 因为电话多说明W公司的软件不好用。
结论是 W公司的软件不好用。。C说更多的人写信抱怨Express公司的软件不好用。。直接批驳结论。
另:我觉得A不是WEAKEN。。因为需要加入太多的假设。。原文只讨论的是电话的次数。。A是电话的时间。。电话的时间和电话次数要挂上勾需要很多假设,而不是COMMON SENSE能解决的。。(比如,假如两公司的电话门数能保证所有打进电话的人即刻打通,则电话时间和电话次数就没关系了)。。。所以我的理解是做题如果需要加入太多假设的应该不多。。
但是,我有时候搞不清哪些是COMMON SENSE,哪些是自己强加的ASSUMPTION。。。mindfree,你是如何解决的?

sorry...C是削弱. 我没有看到letter of complaint. 我原来的意思是如果只有letter而不指出letter的性质,C就不是weaken, 因为letter和difficulty的关系没有建立起来.
至于common sense, 我的感觉是越低级越好, 比如说:利率上涨,利息增加; 通货膨胀-->物价上涨; 工资低和工作环境差-->雇员不满. 这些都是基本真理. 至于度, 要在平时做题是体会和把握. 在做题时绝对不要用自己的专业知识.
