Many people acquire software programs for their home computers by illegally copying those programs rather purchasing them. People who own home computers must be making, on average, fewer illegal copies of software programs than before, however, since the average number of software programs that people purchase to use on their home computers has increased substantially over the past five years

Which of the following, if true, most strengthens the argument?

D) few people who prefer to copy computer software programs illegally cannot copy the software programs they want because they have no acquaintances who have those software programs.
E) on average, people with home computers have the same number of software programs today as people with home computer did five years ago

一道补充题，我就发两个选项，请大家给指点一下

E对,两种思路:

1.D说的是没有熟人拷贝,所以少数人不能盗版.少数人能不能盗版,与盗版的数量没有必然关系.不相关选项.

E说的是人们拥有的软件平均数量与5年前一样.讨论的是数量问题,与题目中的盗版数量是一致的.所以对.

2.如果一定要进行推理的话,人们拥有的软件数量与5年前一样,而题目中说人们买的数量多了,那么就以为着盗版少了.

E是说平均的数量相同，我当时想的想法是：买＋拷贝＝总量，原题说买的多了，拷贝少了，应该是加强总量不变，E告诉我的是平均量不变
