In contrast to ongoing trade imbalances with China and Japan, the United States trade deficit with Mexico declined by $500 million as a result of record exports to that country.

答案是A，此题我知道in contrast to前后要用对等的概念，但是对B中的结构不是很清楚，谓语到底是哪一个？是sold? 麻烦NN能指点一下！谢谢！

B中的its有指代歧义 US还是Mexico不知道

B和C 在reducing its 和reducing their 两者比较哪个比较好吖？

关于B选项是这样的，我觉得其错误在于"对比错误” that is , 将“the United States” 和“ongoing trade imbalances” 比了，这是GMAT考试中经常会出现的错误形式--对比不一致。
而这里，United States 是主语，sold 是谓语， “reducing its trade..."做伴随状语表结果。

US 是个国家，你觉得呢？之余B和C，首先，你要搞清楚ITS 和THEIR 各只带什么，搞清楚句意，再说了，B 和C 对比不一致，可以排除。。。
