正确的句子是

Trenton, New Jersey, is but one of a large number of communities that are looking to use their waterfromts to improve the quality of urban life and attract new business.

想比较起来这个答案肯定是最好的,但是不理解这里but是不是only 的意思啊,如果是的话,不是应该后面跟is吗

请教NN啊

谢谢dingxiang,但是我还是高不清楚这里的从句是修饰but one,还是communities,

如果是修饰but one(类似于only one)，那就应该用is looking 啊

看了很多帖，包括老外的解释，貌似说is/are都可以。但是个人愚见，后面有are looking to use "their" walterfromts.... their可以提示前面用are
