正确答案D中，the largest of the ancient world，这个短语究竟是修饰Alexandria还是library，这是不是ambiguous呢？

在OG其他的题中有些题会考到就近修饰，应该如何理解呢？

in A: resulting refer to later generation, not right
in B: destroying is not equal to the later generation, not right
in C: result is not needed.
in E: different meaning, not right

谢谢ls，这个题因为有其他明显的错误可以把错误答案排除，所以可以先不考虑就近修饰。

那么下面这題，排除答案主要是靠就近修饰还是时态问题？

A huge flying reptile that died out with the dinosaurs some 65 million years ago, the Quetzalcoatlus had a wingspan of 36 feet, believed to be the largest flying creature the world has ever seen.

(A) believed to be

(B) and that is believed to be

(D) which was, it is believed,

(E) which is believed to be

答案是C。A和E在语法上都说得过去，只能根据就近修饰Quetzalcoatlus 还是wingspan不清来排除了。

或者在这句里必须用完成式，所以只能选C？
