Retailers reported moderate gains in their November sales, as much because of their sales of a year earlier being so bad as that shoppers were getting a head start on buying their holiday gifts.

答案是D 但是感觉had been so bad as 和 were getting a head start 不平行啊

E为什不行呢？

of有错误吗

还有如果有of的话，后句是应该改为as of还是可以省略of

最后再弱弱的问一句~~get a head start on 是什么意思

e的问题是as much要一个as，as bad还得要一个as啊，但是题目就只有3个，对应不上啊

恩我是这样想的~

首先排除ABC, 看DE

D 正确, 题目考察as...as...结构~ 要求平行对称~ 其中的比较对象我认为是两个BECAUSE引导的句子(此点可以排除E),即比较的对象是两个原因,所以LZ的顾虑就没有啦~~~

E还有一个可以考虑的方向,就是时态,我刚刚开始看OG,发现OG11-45出现earlier用了过去完成时态;今天下午就研究这个了~ 觉得应该是暗示过去的过去: earlier than early (过去) 推出earlier是过去的过去用过去完成时~~~

get a head start on "领先"

不过对于OF的用法不是很懂,毕竟刚刚开始,觉得似乎应该表示性质~ 但自己觉得用of也可以~~(不过对比D不简洁啦~)

有NN来解释一下of的用法吧~~~

是不是BECAUSE OF 后面不能跟完整的句子呀? as becuase ....as because ...理解楼上说的平行,但是为什么时态不平行呢? HAD BEEN....WERE GETTING...

本題主要考時態、平行結構、比較，動詞時態reported是過去式，因此發生的時間應該是過去的過去某段時間，答案只有D符合。

A錯在being時態不對，且句型應該用as much because …..as because才會平衡，不應該接that.

B錯在having been時態不對，主要動詞時態是過去式，表示描述的是比過去還要早的時間，不應該用完成式。

C錯在使用分詞being，且比較不應該用as bad as的句型. 整個句子的句型應該用as much because …..as because,因此在看這個句子結構時,as bad as並不宜在這樣的結構中使用。

E錯在動詞用過去式were,且用that.句型結構不平衡。

这个题目一个是时态，还有一个是比较结构的平行问题

我不同意只要是being就排除的说法，being排除通常是因为它的句子很不efficient 而不是它本身有错

像 because of 本身是一个介词，介词后面不能接句子只能接phrase或者名词，用being 应该没错，如果要挑剔时间的问题，拿reported 和being比较，那么后面无划线部分的were getting 也应该发生在reported之前，也没有用到过去完成时啊
OG中的解释并没有强调这个时态的问题，但是正确答案中的过去完成时是说得通的

另外E答案的错误应该在于 as bad as ,把销售量和人们的行为做比较了，本身是没有意义的。

were buying holiday gifts 时态应该是和sales in November 一致的因此E中的一般过去式挺无关的~
