Whereas的用法出现得比较少，这题很困惑，在汇总里没有找到．当时选了Ｃ，其实本来觉得ＷＨＥＲＥ有问题，但是做题的时候对ＷＨＥＲＥＡＳ很有怀疑，所以排除了Ａ，Ｂ．请大家指教～～～

whereas is a conj. with the meaning of "although", "while on the contrary". In C and D, mammals vs. tubes, not correct, in E, bone cells are arrayed in parallel lines, distorts the meaning. The structure in B is not as parallel as that in A
