B中得主句意为知识来自研究. located引导得定语有修饰研究之嫌, 不符合逻辑.

我觉得B里面的that is没有错，做插入语嘛...prep说它指代不清...

关于that is的用法在OG里就有一个：OG10-186的解释。

B中当我们不知道
located in the back of the skull是修饰house还是brain.

E里面确实有不平行的错误。know what they know很变态很awkward的表达...

再看了一下，正确选项E里面也是过去分词短语修饰A of B里面的A的，这说明located确实只修饰house，不会产生修饰brain的歧义...

在句首或句尾，且用逗号隔开的分词结构要尤其小心；因为有即可作定语，也可以做伴随状语的嫌疑。

这里的located....就有这样的嫌疑~ 如2楼所说

根据逻辑判断 located in the back of the skull 应该是修饰 the bony house

不同意LS，感觉过去分词短语还是就近修饰。

多谢提醒，我又看了一遍，现在我同意是修饰的 the brain,

原因是这儿特指前文提到的 dinosaur brains. 否则 brain 怎么可能只是在 skull 的后部呢？如果不是前文提到了 dinosaur brains, 我还是会认同修饰 the bony house.

located 应修饰 A of B 中的中心词 A
